Wonderful Winter Walks

Baggy Point is one of the most breathtaking and beautiful climbs in the country. It separates Croyde Bay and Morte Bay which includes the beaches of Woolacombe and Putsborough. this short circular walk along the western flank of Baggy Point will reward you with far-fetching coastal, sea and farmland views. It's also an excellent place to see wildflowers and for a spot of bird watching. 

The bracing walk up to Hartland Point offers stunning views of the Bristol Channel, the North Devon Coastline and Lundy Island. Hartland Quay is situated on the South West Coastal Path and the surrounding area is designated as a 'Heritage Coastline and as an 'area of outstanding natural beauty'. the cliff walks with their extensive coastal panoramas and wealth of wildflowers are on par with walking anywhere in Europe. 

On the fringes of Exmoor, you'll discover the beautiful Heddon Valley. You will travel along one of the loveliest parts of the renowned South West Coast Paths National Trails. take in the river walks, wooded pathways and beautiful beaches too. Follow the river to emerge at the sea and discover the unbeatable views along the way.   

Step into a whole other world at Braunton Burrows - a designated biosphere. Explore the expansive sand dune system of this beautiful nature reserve on the North Devon Coast and enjoy wildlife, coastal views and a variety of specialised plants. As the second-largest sand dune system in the world, Braunton Burrows nearly covers 900 hectares. 

if you want a view worth the climb, we can definitely recommend climbing some of the hills around Ilfracombe. From short walks up Captone to exploring the zig-zag paths of the torrs, there is something for everyone, and the best bit is that afterwards you can head tot he town for fish and chips or and ice-cream!
